What Is THCA Flower?

What's the difference between thc and thca?

When heat is applied to THCa flowers, the THCa decarboxylates, resulting in it losing one of its carboxyl groups and converting into THC. Although the FDA does not explicitly ban the production and sale of THCa flowers – which essentially makes THCa flowers legal at the federal level – certain states do ban it. This is due to the fact that THCa is the precursor to THC. At the time of writing, there are only four states within the continental United States that explicitly ban THCa flower – OR, ID, MN, and AR.
So, if you live outside these four states, buying and possessing THCa flower is legal!
